ROBERTO
SALVO
Poet and novelist, author of the novels Il veleno del potere, Ricordi di due vite and Tu uccidi io ti uccido

Every word is a fragment of life that awaits to be told.

“At the beginning, it’s only a glimmer.
A voice whispering, an image trembling beneath the skin.
You don’t yet know who will speak, nor where that path will lead.
But you feel it’s there. And that alone is enough to begin.
Then the characters arrive. Timid at first, blurred.
But they look at you. They knock.
They demand space, ask for words, claim a life.
And that’s when you surrender: you stop inventing, and begin to listen.”
“Then, one day, you write the final word.
You read it again, and it’s not perfect. But it’s true.
You stop. Your fingers tremble. You’re done!
And you have become someone who did not exist before.”

“Writing a novel”

E ti voglio così (song)
E ti voglio così (And I Want You This Way) is more than just a song, it is a declaration of love, suspended between poetry and melody.
It tells the story of two souls who recognize each other, who stand together against time and fate, and who turn the ordinary into a safe harbour. It is a song about desire, about presence, about that silent force that keeps us alive even when everything else seems to fall apart.
To read it, or to listen to it, is to step into a shared emotion: every verse is a breath, every refrain a promise we wish would never end.
Arriverà per te (song)
There are words that aren’t just read — they are felt. Arriverà is a song about waiting, about rebirth, about that kind of love that comes when you’ve stopped looking for it, when you no longer believe, yet your heart — silently — has never stopped waiting. It’s a gentle touch, arriving softly like summer rain, like a scent that carries you back in time. A journey through nostalgia and hope, where every wound becomes light, every goodbye turns into a beginning.
Listen to it. Perhaps it will speak of you, too. 💫
The novels
"There is more still: thoughts, poems, songs, aphorisms…"
"…and a new novel in the making."
This book is truly something unique in the landscape of Italian thrillers. The story unfolds across two eras — the 1900s and the present day — with a rich narrative weave that keeps you glued to the page. The quest for the mysterious Nail of Christ, the intrigues of the secret society Custodia Veritas, impossible loves and betrayals all merge into a gripping, never predictable plot.
Il veleno del potere
Reviews
An intense and necessary book, able to keep alive the memory of what the Shoah was without ever lapsing into rhetoric. The author chooses an original narrative, enriched by a sliding-door element that gives rhythm and freshness to the story, making it both gripping and engaging. Suitable also for a young audience. A story that manages to be both formative and deeply moving.
Ricordi di due vite
One of those rare books that captures you from the very first to the very last page. The writing is fluid and compelling, the characters are well crafted, and the plot builds into a crescendo of twists and turns. I loved how the author blended historical elements with contemporary thriller, creating the perfect mix. The investigations of Commissioner Bianchi and the mystery of Custodia Veritas are truly captivating.
